We were not going to stay at home. We are enjoying life everyday in the neighborhood, the community, the nation, and someday… the world and Noah is going to be with us.

We are who we are because of the people around us. Being a part of the ASBC has given me a network of support and friendship that I value deeply. I am inspired every day by my son and by the incredible people I meet within the autism community.

When I meet someone with autism, I see possibility. Everyone has a gift and the ASBC works hard to provide families and individuals with the support needed to live the life they choose to live.

There is so much information, help and inspiration available within the autism community – I wanted to be able to share it with all those who need it...

From my first support group meeting, I discovered a group of people who understood what my life was like, how I felt and what I was going through. I could find that nowhere else! I became involved because I wanted to be there for other families going through this experience. I have discovered a wonderfully dedicated group of people.

I joined the Autism Society of Baltimore Chesapeake over 12 years ago. I went to my first meeting to learn about how to deal with a child with autism. I also met people who were in the same situation. I have met some very nice people who have become good friends.

The ASBC has given me a safe place to talk about my son and what we go through. The friends we have made will last us a life time and I feel lucky to be part of such a wonderful organization. At the ASBC, we want to give that support back to others.

After my working with my first client I was hooked! The world of Autism is mysterious and amazing and getting to know children and families by Autism is an honor! Each and every child on the spectrum has such a story to be heard. I feel blessed to be able to help get that story out!

Working with children and families is such a rewarding experience. I learn something new everyday!

I have met such impressive, caring people through my involvement with ASBC. It is my pleasure to serve on the Board.

I became involved with the autism board because I wanted to give back to the families who unselfishly gave to me when I was trying to figure out how to move forward after my son’s diagnosis of autism. The members of the support group offered so much valuable information to our family from a practical and a supportive standpoint. This information empowered me to accept and eventually celebrate a diagnosis that changed our family’s lives for the better.
